Terms, Conditions and Policies

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE. All users of this site agree that access to, and use of this site, are subject to the following terms and conditions and other applicable law. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use this site.  
  
Payment:

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.  We use PayPal as our merchant processer.   Please note:  PayPal's buyer and seller protection policies require that we ship to the confirmed address used at the time a payment is made. 

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU VERIFY THE CORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER ON YOUR ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR ORDER. Your item will be subject to our return policy if it is returned due to incorrect contact information. 

Sales Tax:

Items being picked up at our retail location or shipped inside the State of Michigan are subject to the Michigan Resident Sales Tax of 6.0%.
Shipping Policy:

General Information:

We do not ship outside the Continental United States. We do not ship to Freight Forward Companies, PO, APO, or FPO Boxes. Our Carriers deliver Monday thru Friday. No Weekend or Holiday deliveries. Extraordinary and/or Remote delivery locations (Islands, Mountaintops, Isles or Large Metropolitan areas like New York City, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles) that ship Freight, may require additional delivery charges. If any of these may apply to you please contact us beforehand for a freight estimate. No Weekend or Holiday deliveries.

Items Shipped Residential Curbside Delivery:

Items too large to be shipped UPS will be shipped Freight and Delivered via Residential Curbside Delivery. Generally it takes 6-12 business days from time we ship the item until delivery. A signature is required at time of delivery. You must include a current/reachable phone number with your shipping information. Please Note: Red Tag Appliance outsources its freight service to various Freight carriers and Local Delivery Service people, they are professionally trained but they are not hired or trained by Red Tag Appliance. In the unlikely event damage is done to your home or property, you MUST note it on the delivery receipt. The Delivery company will be liable for the damages and Red Tag Appliance can assist as an in-between between you and the Delivery company. Damage discovered to your home or property after the fact will not be liable by the Delivery Company, Red Tag Appliance, or Amazon.  Extraordinary and/or Remote delivery locations (Islands, Mountaintops, Isles or Large Metropolitan areas like New York City, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles) that ship Freight, may require additional delivery charges. If any of these may apply to you please contact us beforehand for a freight estimate. 



Items Shipped UPS:

Items shipped UPS usually arrive within 3-5 Business Days after we ship them item (After Payment is received).  We usually require a signature on delivery on items over $500. If you discover damage to the product & have the original carton and packing, please contact us within 5 business days of receiving the product and we can pick up the damaged unit and ship a replacement unit or issue a refund.

Incorrect Contact Information:

If the Freight Company is unable to contact you to schedule a delivery appointment because incorrect/out of date contact information was provided with your order, the item will be re-routed back to our warehouse.   The item will be considered a return.

Return Policy:

If an item is purchased in error and/or exhibits no signs of damage the customer will be responsible for shipping the item to our store in Niles, Michigan using the same packaging and method of transportation as was used when the product was delivered. These items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. The original shipping charges are not refundable. A credit will be issued after the item has been received and inspected. Your refund will be the original price of the listing - 15% Restocking fee - Red Tag's Original Shipping Cost (Not Stated in listing) - Shipping cost back to us.

The customer has 10 days, from item receipt, to return any item, provided it is: unused, hasn’t been installed and is still in the original packaging. All returns are subject to the above-mentioned Return Policy.

Any item that has been used, installed, or had attempts to be installed, cannot be returned.

If you refuse your shipment for any reason other than damage, you will be subject to our standard return policy and fees.

Once an item has been installed by the customer, it cannot be returned. Refer to the to the manufacturer customer service or warranty service phone number included with your merchandise. Red Tag Appliance is available to assist in providing local service provider information or Manufacturer contact information.

 

Damage & Accepting Delivery:

Items Shipped Freight:

While manufacturers package products very well, occasionally shipping damage can happen. 
DO NOT SIGN FOR THE PRODUCT WITHOUT INSPECTING IT FIRST! DO NOT assume your product is not damaged if the box and/or packaging are intact. It is important that you open the package and check for concealed damage before you accept the merchandise. Signing for the delivery means you are completely satisfied with the products condition and that the correct numbers of units were received. You accept product condition liability once you sign off on the delivery receipt. If the product is damaged, refuse the shipment and let us know immediately. Red Tag Appliance is not responsible/liable for any damages discovered after the item(s) has been signed for and accepted. The customer assumes responsibility for filing any damage claims with the shipping company on items that were not inspected at time of delivery.

Items Shipped UPS:

While manufacturers package products very well, occasionally shipping damage can happen. INSPECT YOUR ITEM IMMEDIATELY. You have 5 business days (from date of delivery) to report any damages. You must repackage the product in its original packaging. We will have UPS pick up the damaged unit and we will ship a replacement unit as soon as possible, or issue a refund. Item would need to be picked up at the same location as the item was delivered to.



Manufacturer Defect/Service issues:

Unless otherwise stated, all merchandise is covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. If item has not been damaged during shipping but you are experiencing performance issues, refer to the to the customer service or warranty service phone number included with your merchandise. Red Tag Appliance is available to assist in providing local service provider information or Manufacturer contact information.

PRODUCT INSTALLATION:

Product installation is NOT included with our delivery options. Red Tag Appliance strongly recommends that you DO NOT schedule a private contractor until after you receive your order.  Shipping delays, damaged/defective products and/or availability issues could possibly result in addition costs incurred with your contractor.  We advise that any installation be scheduled AFTER the item has been received and inspected.

Accuracy in: Pricing, Availability and General Information:

Red Tag Appliance makes every effort to ensure that the information on Redtagappliance.com is accurate, complete and current. Despite our efforts, occasionally there may be instances when information about a product contains inaccurate or incomplete data including data about the products price or availability. Red Tag Appliance makes no warranty or guarantee that the information on Redtagappliance.com is error-free, complete, or current. We reserve the right to correct errors and/or update the content on Redtagappliance.com at any time without notice. Red Tag Appliance also reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order containing any error or inaccuracy. To ensure you have the most accurate data possible, please use the manufacturers website as a final decision making tool.

Order CANCELLATIONS:

You may request an order change or cancellation, as long as your order has not been processed for shipping. Once your order has shipped, charges have been incurred and you will need to refer to our return policy.

If we cancel an order due to inaccuracy, availability or general error issues, you will be notified within 48 hours. If your order is cancelled after your credit card has been charged, we will issue a credit to your credit card in the amount of the charge.

Extended Warranty Service Plans:

Extended Warranties are available on products purchased from Red Tag Appliance. Please allow 6-12 weeks for the Extended Warranty Plan registration to be completed, during that time, your receipt will serve as confirmation of the plan. Please note that during the first year your appliance is fully covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Items Picked up in our Store:

Please contact us on availability and cost of picking any appliances up at our store in Niles, Michigan.

Chargebacks:

Any chargeback attempted with the item in the customer's possession will be handed off to the authorities as consumer fraud, a collection agency will then be notified to pickup the item. If item cannot be picked up, proper legal action will be taken against the consumer. We take chargebacks in any way VERY seriously.
